No guarantee of financing

Submitting an application does not guarantee an offer. Amounts, costs, terms and funding timelines depend on underwriting and are not guaranteed. Figures on this site are ranges and illustrative examples.

Who originates your financing

Working capital, lines of credit and equipment financing are underwritten and funded in house. SBA and conventional term loan products are originated by our FDIC-insured bank and SBA-preferred lending partners; for those products Shelfline Capital acts as a sourcing and servicing partner rather than the originator of record. The specific lender on any approved financing is disclosed in your financing agreement before you sign.

Cost of funding

On working capital we quote a total dollar cost of funding rather than an annual percentage rate, because the product is not an interest-bearing loan. Total cost of funding typically runs 9% to 34% of the amount advanced over a term of 4 to 18 months. A total cost of funding is not an APR and should not be compared directly to one. Your agreement will show the amount advanced, the total payback, the payment, the number of payments and the total dollar cost before you sign.

Prepayment

There is no prepayment penalty on any product described on this site. On working capital, early payoff earns a discount of up to 30% of the remaining cost, as set out in your agreement.

Fees

There is no application fee, no broker fee, no origination fee, no monthly servicing fee and no maintenance fee on an undrawn line. Specific products may carry documented third-party costs (for example, filing or appraisal fees on secured products), which are disclosed before signing.

Credit inquiries

Applying involves a soft inquiry that does not affect personal credit scores. Certain products may require a hard inquiry at a later stage; you will be told before one is made.

Commercial financing disclosure laws

Where a transaction involves a business located in a state with a commercial financing disclosure law — including New York, California, Utah, Virginia and Georgia — we provide the state-specific disclosure required by that law at the time of approval.

Equal Credit Opportunity Act

We comply with the federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act. The federal agency that administers compliance with this law for this creditor is the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, 1700 G Street NW, Washington, DC 20552.

Reporting

We may report payment performance to commercial credit bureaus. We do not report business financing performance to consumer credit bureaus.
