Shelfline Capital · Solutions
Six funding products. One application.
You do not have to know which product you need. Send one application and four months of bank statements, and your underwriter will tell you which of these your file actually supports, what each one costs, and which one fits the thing you are trying to buy. Most retail and e-commerce files qualify for two or three.
Which product fits what you're buying
| If you are… | Use | Amount | Speed | Cost basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Placing an inventory PO you'll sell through in 3–6 months | Working capital | $10,000–$2,000,000 | 24 hours | Total cost of funding, 9%–34% of amount advanced |
| Buying inventory repeatedly, on an unpredictable schedule | Line of credit | $10,000–$1,000,000 | 24–48 hrs to open, same-day draws | Interest on the drawn balance only, 1.5%–4.5% per month |
| Building out a second location or buying a competitor | Term loan | $25,000–$1,000,000 | 3–10 business days | Fixed rate, 12–60 months |
| Able to wait 4–12 weeks for the lowest cost of capital | SBA 7(a) | Up to $5,000,000 | 4–12 weeks | Prime-indexed, typically 7%–11% APR |
| Buying POS, refrigeration, racking, a forklift, a packing line or a van | Equipment financing | $5,000–$1,000,000 | 1–5 business days | Fixed monthly, 24–72 months, up to 100% of cost |
| Shipping to retailers or distributors on net-30 to net-90 terms | Invoice factoring | $25,000–$5,000,000 | 2–7 business days to set up | Discount of 1%–3.5% per 30 days outstanding |
You can hold more than one
The common structure for a growing seller is a line of credit for the recurring inventory cycle plus equipment financing for the fixed assets, because the two do not compete for the same cash. The common mistake is three unsecured advances from three funders who each think they are first. We will tell you what is already on your file and whether another position makes arithmetic sense — including when the answer is that it does not.
